Wajen ƙarfe bakwai, Babbar yayarsu ta iso gidan. Ganin duk suna bacci yasa tai kitchen ta haɗa musu kari, ita da gaji da sauran masu aikin gidan. Tana cikin jerawa, Hajiya ta fito ita da Ummi. Ummi ta daka tsalle, “Wow! It’s been so long! I missed you all!” Gami da durkusawa, ta gaida Hajiya, Ummu tai waje.

Wajen takwas, Aunty Zainab tazo. Hajiya tai ta faɗa, “I know she would come late. I could feel it.” Zainab was slightly irritated but smiled, knowing Hajiya always guessed right.

Gabaki dayansu sun taru a falo suna fira. Muktar ya sawko, suka miqe. Surprise! They were all so excited to see him!, Ya sauko yana murna sosai, yaji dadin ganinsu. His heart was full of joy, seeing them all together again.

Durkusawa yai ya gaida Hajiya da sauran yayyansa kafin Yaya Babba tace, “Haba autana, come give me a hug! I miss you so much!” Ya manne kai, “You know, I really wanted to come yesterday but couldn’t make it. I missed you too!”Zainab tasa dariya, zonan nawan ya juya qeya. He laughed with a playful smile. “You didn’t come to visit me and now you’re teasing me!” They all burst into laughter.

Ita ko Ummu gidan take bi da kallo, yayin da wani abu dabatasan ko mene ba, yazo ya tsaya mata a wuya. Ada tasa aranta, “she left this place for good, but now, it feel like she belong here again!” Kukan karen da taji yafara tashi yasa tai saurin dawowa daga tunanin data tafi. Her mind quickly shifted, and her attention snapped back to the present.

Ta fara buga gidan, daga ciki me gadi yace, “Waye Ummulkairi ce?” Ta fada, bai dauki muryan ba, be be kuma gane sunan ba. The guard seemed confused, but she stayed calm, knowing what she needed to do.

Qofar gidan cike yake da hasken wuta. Hakan yasa yana budewa ya ganeta. Yadan saki fuska, “Oh, it’s you.” Idonta kuwa ya kuma cikowa da ƙwalla. Kamin tace, “Baba Sale, ina wuni?” Ya amsa, “Lafiya qalau, ban taba zaton ganinki yanzu ba.”

Ta qaqaro murmushi, “I didn’t expect to be here today either. But here we are.” Ya gyada kai, kafin ya kuma magana. “Tace Yah Nasir kuwa yazo?”

“Eh, yazo da wani dan kyakkyawan yaro,” gabanta ya fadi cikin rawar murya. She could feel her heart race as she awaited his answer. Tace, “Ya fito dashi?” “A’a, tun dazu inanan banga fitarsa ba. To Baba, bari mu shiga ciki.”

Ta ja hannun Ummi gami da fadin, “Wallahi, saidai ka mutu! In dagani, kadai muka rage a duniya. To gwara in mutu ba aure wallahi. Inda zaka mutu zanfi kowa farin ciki!” She turned away, her heart heavy, knowing the weight of her words.

Hajiya tai saurin fizgota ganin cikin yaran nata bame iya tsai da ita. Tasa hannu zata fizgi Abbakar tana fadin, “You won’t stop me from leaving this house. Not today.”

Fizge rigarta tayi, gami da fadin, “Wallahi ko gawata ta fi qarfin auren dan iskan danki!” Umma Tasa hannu ta mareta har ta daga hannu zata rama. Anger mixed with pain, but she stood firm. Ta sauke, gami da fadin, “Wallahi kinci darajar Yah Nasir.” Da sauri ta faki idonta, tai waje da gudu, ita da Ummi. Abbakar na faman sheqa dariya, zatonsa wasa take masa.

Mahfuz ne ya miqe zai bisu, saidai jirin da ya dibeshi yasashi faduwa kasa. Tim! Da sauri, kowa yayo kansa. Hajiya cikin tsawa take fadin, “Ku bita, ku bita!” Her voice was filled with authority as she commanded them to follow her.

Dasauri, su Muktasir suka miqe, sukayo waje dan nemanta, saidai fa ina duban duniya, batanan.

“Malam, ka ishemu da kuka! Idan kasan kana sonta, ka sanar da ita,” Mansur ne ke faɗin haka, his voice firm, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of frustration. Hajiya ce ta daka masa tsawa, her tone sharp and commanding, forcing Mansur to shrink back into his seat. Ya yi shiru yana ɗan ƙunƙuni, murmuring under his breath as he avoided her piercing gaze.

Shiko Nasir, jin su Muktasir sun ce ba su ga su Ummu ba, hankalinsa ya tashi sosai. His chest tightened with unease as worry etched lines across his face. Dan tazarar da futarta ba ta kamata har ta bace ma ganinsu ba. He ran his hand through his hair, pacing back and forth, his thoughts racing.

Mahfuz ne ya miƙe, “Hajiya, bari kawai in je gidan da take, in roƙota.” Determination burned in his eyes as he stood tall, his fists clenched at his sides.

Hajiya ta zaunar da shi, “Ka yi haƙuri. Yanzu dare yayi. Gobe ma je da sassafe. In yaso, sai ma mu tafi da masu daura muku aure. In ma a can zata zauna, ita taji.” Her voice softened, trying to calm him, though the worry in her tone was unmistakable.

Shi dai Nasir, abin duniya duk ya isheshi. He buried his face in his hands, taking deep, shaky breaths, his mind clouded with thoughts of Ummu. Ji yake kamar ƙirjinsa zai tsage, zuciyarsa ta fito. The ache in his heart was almost unbearable, and tears threatened to spill as he thought of her. Tausayin Ummu duk ya cika masa zuciya.

Gidan su Abbakar

Gidan cike yake da farin ciki. Kana shiga, zaka san tabbas suna cikin walwala. Laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Shi kansa Abbakar wasai yake, yana jin kansa ba kamar kwanakin baya ba, da zuciyarsa take cikin ƙunci. His face lit up with a rare smile, though there was still a shadow of unease lurking behind his eyes. Duk da farin cikin da suke ciki yanzu, ko ya tuna da Ummu da Mahfuz, sai gabansa ya faɗi. His heart sank, and a pang of guilt tugged at him as he struggled with his feelings.

He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, trying to reconcile his emotions, but the conflict in his heart remained unresolved. Yanayin hakan ya sa shi jin zai iya sadaukar da komai akan abokinsa.

Kamar kullum, tun zuwan Muktar hutu, yau kwana huɗu kenan. Gidan cika yake da waɗanda suka zo sannu da zuwa. Dare yayi, kowa ya miƙe, ya yi makwansa cikin sha’awa da farin ciki. Haka shi ma Abbakar. He exchanged smiles and pleasantries with the guests, masking the turmoil brewing within him. Sai dai yana tura ƙofar ɗaki, ya nemi farin cikin, ya rasa. As the door clicked shut behind him, the weight of his thoughts crashed down, and he sighed heavily, leaning against the wall.

Haka kullum yake. Da ya zauna shi kaɗai, shikenan, tunanin Ummu ne ke cika masa zuciya. In bacci yake, baccin ms cike yake da Ummu. Her face haunted his dreams, her laughter echoing in his mind, making him toss and turn through the night. Ya rasa yadda zai yi. He clasped his hands together in prayer, his voice trembling as tears slid down his cheeks. Addu’a kullum yake yi, yana roƙon Allah ya taimake shi ya cire Ummu daga ransa. Amma kamar addu’ar yake, Allah ya ƙara masa santa.

Juyi kawai yake akan gadon, hawaye na bin fuskarsa. Ya ma kasa rufe idansa, dan ko rufewa ya yi, ita yake gani tana masa murmushinta mai ratsa zuciya. His chest rose and fell heavily, consumed by the weight of his emotions, as he whispered her name in the quiet room.

**Gidan su Mahfuz**

Da sassafe ya farka, dan be niyyar komawa ba bayan yin asuba. Sai dai bacci barawo ya yi gaba da shi, ko wanka bai yi ba. Ya shiga dakin Hajiya, dan dama ya dade da dawowa bangarenta. His movements were hurried, his mind set on one goal—reaching Ummu.

She looked away, feigning calmness, but deep down, a spark of anger flared in her chest. Bata son ransa ya baci, amma a haƙiƙanin gaskiya, ta tsani yarinyar sosai.

Hajiya’s fingers tightened slightly on her counter (carbi), a silent reflection of the internal struggle she faced—balancing her affection for her son and her deep dislike for the girl he loved. Sam ta tsani yarinyar sai dai tana son Mahmufuz fiye da kowa, tsaki ta kuma ja dan tama rasa abinyi.
