Religious Zealots

They chant with fire in their tongues,

But their hearts are colder than winter winds.

They quote scriptures like bullets,

Yet fail to live by the love that it sends.

They kneel before altars, raise their hands,

But their souls walk in sinking sands.

They wear religion like a crown of pride,

But inside, corruption has found a bride.
