Part 16 of 29 in the Series Mysterious Pen by Haiman Raees

A TIED TONGUE

In silence dwells the power unseen,

An anchored tongue keeps the balance keen.

Amidst the storms, the tempest’s rage,

With wisdom, hush the words in cage.

Through alliteration’s gentle sway,

The tongue restrained finds its own way.

For what is said, once words take flight,

Their echoes may forever bite.

In tranquil stillness, truths reside,

A haven where compassion hides.

With imagery, we’ll paint the scene,

The choice of words can make us clean.

When anger’s flames begin to rise,

Embrace the art of compromise.

Let kindness flow in whispers meek,

A language gentle, soft, and meek.

For in restraint, the heart finds peace,

When harsh words’ shackles slowly cease.

Through alliteration’s soothing breeze,

Let understanding bridge the seas.

For words unleashed, like arrows fly,

Can wound and break the strongest tie.

So ‘say good or keep silent’ true,

In every word, let love shine through.

The tongue can wield both good and ill,

The choice is ours, a power still.

In quietude, let wisdom guide,

A tied tongue, a virtue to abide.
